The Radcliffe House is a single-family residence located in downtown Charleston’s historic Radcliffeborough neighborhood. The project was developed as an infill residence on a narrow 30’ × 100’ lot that had been vacant since the late 1980s after the original structure was lost to fire.

The house is clad entirely in queen-sized Belle Meade brick, laid in varying patterns of horizontal and vertical running bond. Recessed Flemish bond panels flank the openings, adding detail and shadow play to the façade. Within each Flemish bond course, the header bricks are recessed further still, visually widening the openings while offering an architectural nod to the historic shutters commonly found throughout the neighborhood.
